Some Beauty of Being Single

1. Being single helps us to realize that we can explore the universe looking for somebody who is more deserving of our love and affection than ourselves, and then at last we will find out that we will not find that person anywhere.

2. Sometimes we have to stand alone to prove that we can still stand.

3. Being single entitles we to not ask someone's opinion before we do something to mess up our own room, our credit report or even our life.

4. Being single gives us a chance to learn to love the fool in us, the one who feels too much, talks too much, takes too many chances, wins sometimes and loses often, lacks self-control, loves and hates, hurts and gets hurt, promises and breaks promises, laughs and cries.

5. Being single reminds us that we have brains in our head as we have have feet in our shoes. Meaning that we can steer ourselves in any direction we choose. We are on our own. And we know what we know. We are the person who'll decide where to go and what to do.

6. Being single is getting over the illusion that there is somebody out there to complete us and taking charge of our own life.

7. Being single may not always be a bad thing. Break-ups hurt us all, but at some level, we might even be relieved for getting away from a manipulative or an abusive relationship.

8. Being single used to mean that nobody wanted us. Now it means we're so damn valuable and we're taking our time deciding how we want our life to be and who we want to spend it with.

9. Being single gives an optimistic spirit saying that "When and where there's a will, there are always a million relative" and "Patah Satu Tumbuh Seribu":)

10. We’re NOT single, and We're NOT taken. We're simply on reserve for the one who REALLY deserves our heart because they say good things take time!

In the end, I have my own thinking about relationships. There are those that open we up to something new and exotic, those that are old and familiar, those that bring up lots of questions, those that bring us somewhere unexpected, those that bring us far from where we started, and those that bring us back. But the most exciting, challenging and significant relationship of all is the one we have with ourselves. And if we can find someone to love the things we love, well, that's just fabulous:)
